Frequently Asked Questions

The hardest part of buying your dream home should be finding it not financing it.

So, we keep it simple.

Expect a first class experience at every step. At Professor Lending, we value not only clear communication and transparency but education. We want you to understand the process so you are empowered.

We quote using a soft credit pull which does not impact your credit. We do not need a hard credit pull until you have a purchase contract with a closing date in hand.

We work with every type of client from seasoned investors to first time homebuyers. If you are working on a 1031 exchange, we've got you covered. If you're brand new and have no idea what to expect when buying and have one million questions, we've got you covered.

This is EXACTLY what you should be doing! This allows for more strategy to be used in preparing your offer and understanding what you can afford and how best to leverage your financial profile.

We have every loan product you need. First-time home buyer loans, construction loans, renovation loans, VA loans, HELOC's, DSCR loans, self-employed loans. You name it, we've got it.

It depends on where you are looking to buy. We have a wide range of recommended realtors, home inspectors, mold remediatiors/testers, General Contractors, HVAC teams, and more. We would be glad to provide you a list.

Expect 20-30 days from application to closing, on average. But we've closed loans in less than 10 days and we'd love to make you our new record holder.

Both offer federally backed mortgages. Banks are typically boxed into one set of credit, pricing, and underwriting options. They are focused on a large number of operations including checking accounts, savings accounts, etc. in addition to mortgages. Mortgage brokers, in contrast, are licensed loan originators that work with a wide range of lenders allowing for a wider range of credit, pricing, and underwriting options and are focused exclusively on mortgages.

Bottom line: Brokers beat banks.
