About Jordan

A PhD in your corner
when it matters most.

Most mortgage brokers can tell you what rate they can get you. Jordan can tell you why — in plain English, with the math to back it up. That’s the difference a PhD-trained, analytically rigorous mind brings to the mortgage process.

Jordan spent a decade inside the mortgage industry before founding Professor Lending — as a loan processor, a business intelligence manager, and as a director of strategic accounts at Enact where he managed a $36B+ portfolio and helped launch exclusive non-GSE lending products. He’s worked at Amerisave, PNC Bank, and Enact Mortgage Insurance. He knows how lenders think, how products are priced, and how to find you a better deal.

He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Birmingham (UK) — making him about as rigorous a thinker as you’ll find in a broker’s office. He also holds an MBA in Finance from UNC Wilmington and a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He’s not your average loan officer.

Outside the office, Jordan is the President of The London Lyceum — a non-profit educational institution — and the publisher of Hanover Press, a member of the Association of University Presses. He hosts a top 1% global podcast and manages a platform serving 50,000+ readers annually. He teaches as an adjunct at Anderson University and Phoenix Seminary, and serves as a research fellow on a $1.53M Templeton Foundation grant.

He lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Sarah and their three sons.

Beyond the Office

The person behind
the process.

Jordan was raised in the St. Louis area and has lived in central Virginia, Louisville, Kentucky, and now Raleigh, North Carolina — which means he understands what it’s like to navigate a home purchase in an unfamiliar market.

He’s married to Sarah and they have three sons. He loves reading, writing, podcasting, and lifting weights in his garage gym. He serves as President of The London Lyceum and publisher of Hanover Press, where his team manages a platform of 50,000+ annual readers and a top 1% global podcast.

He has a love-hate relationship with sports — cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars, St. Louis Cardinals, and Carolina Hurricanes.
